ODM3 is a Windows-based integration and interpretation software program designed to store, manage, and interpret geological well data. ODM3 allows the geoscientist to quickly and easily incorporate and visualise numerous forms of data with the objective of using all available information to make an informed interpretation of the sub-surface geology.

The concept is quite simple – ODM3 acts as the integration machine pulling in data from a variety of sources. Everything from drilling reports, production data, and geological interpretations can be managed easily and are then instantly available from a simple, map driven interface. The complete understanding and history of a field or a basin can be captured within a single application allowing future decisions to be made with confidence that all available information has been used.

The database behind ODM3 is capable of storing and managing virtually any type of subsurface-related well data allowing it to be used during the entire lifecycle exploration through drilling and eventually production. It can also be used by various geological disciplines thereby improving the sharing of data and information.

ODM3 manages corporate workflows acting as a replacement for traditional Unix-based systems or is equally at home working remotely on the wellsite or in-the-field studies.

Simpler Interpretation

ODM3 has many tools to assist the interpreter. These are highly visual and provide methods for quickly displaying the geographic and sub-surface nature of the data.

Based on simple and familiar principles, the geoscientist can interpret directly on graphical displays instantly seeing the results and the effects of the interpretation. Inbuilt stratigraphic tools aid in the maintenance of the entire stratigraphic hierarchy according to user-defined schemes and dictionaries.

The flexible design of the underlying database naturally allows the management of multiple interpretations offering a user friendly and a very quick environment to compare and contrast models.

Interpretations can be sent to corporate data stores quite easily using the data transfer tools that communicate directly with many of the industry standard tools (OpenWorks, Petrel, Geolog, Interactive Petrophysics, OpenSpirit, etc).
